I am a PhD Candidate at Emory University in American history. I have three major interests:
In addition to my academic training in American economic, social, and cultural history, I also have skills in data analysis, Linux, and programming. I use quantitative methods in my academic research, and I am proficient with R, RStudio, RKWard, R Commander, Deducer, ggplot2, SPSS, Excel, Tableau, Many Eyes, and STATA. Additionally, I have experience with a number of Linux distributions: Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Arch Linux, CentOS, Debian, Crunchbang Linux, and Fedora Raspberry Pi Edition, for example. I have some programming experience in R, writing BASH scripts, html, and Python. I have a little bit of experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS.
